The Philippine Statistics Authority as the central repository of all civil registry documents and as the implementing agency of the PhilSys Act, values the fundamental human right of data privacy. It is committed to ensure that personal information in its custody is secure and protected.
While convenience of the public in securing their civil registry documents is a matter of utmost importance, breach of data privacy should not be countenanced. PSA cannot disregard the numerous and various complaints against the online service provider, including the violations of the terms and conditions of the Memorandum of Agreement. Thus, a necessary and appropriate action from PSA was imperative. Contrary to the claim of the online service provider that they were not informed of the reasons of the termination, the aforementioned grounds were clearly and categorically specified in the Notice.
Notwithstanding such termination, another online channel can be availed of by the transacting public also from the comfort of their homes thru the PSASERBILIS.COM.PH which is fully functional and was in existence for over a decade now because client satisfaction is a PSA’s concern.
Request for the said documents may also be made thru the following:
- Walk-in application at Regional/Provincial Serbilis Outlets;
- Batch Request Entry System (BREQS) at selected SM Malls and partner Local Government Units (LGUs); and
- POEA One-Stop Shop.
