Program delivery update: Start-Up Visa – Cap and prioritization

On June 27, 2023, the former minister made an announcement regarding changes regarding the Start-Up Visa Program. These changes involve a cap on all new applications and the prioritization of applications that are supported by venture capital, angel investor groups or business incubators and have a committed capital, along with applications that are supported by business incubators who are members of Canada’s Tech Network. The instructions have been updated to reflect these changes.
