The instructions related to the International Experience Canada (IEC) bilateral agreements and arrangements have been updated to clarify the participation limits for each category for Irish citizen, which will come into effect on July 31, 2024.

The update is summarized as follows:

Ireland

Applicants are allowed 2 participations under the bilateral agreement:

  • 1 participation of up to 24 months in either the Working Holiday or Young Professionals category
  • 1 participation of up to 12 months in the International Co-op (Internship) category
